Massage for Partners FAQs | Get Answers Before You Start

Please reach us at info@massavinci.com if you cannot find an answer to your question.

Technically? No.
But if you're here to actually enjoy the experience—and not just wing it on the couch or floor—we strongly recommend using a massage table. And here’s why it matters:

First, our video training is designed with the table in mind. That means every technique, body position, and hand movement is demonstrated on a massage table—not a bed, not a futon, not the living room rug. If you want the smoothest learning curve, a table helps you follow along exactly as it’s shown.

Second, body mechanics are everything. A massage table puts you at the right height to give a massage without wrecking your back or bending over weirdly. You’ll be able to move around easily, apply the right amount of pressure, and avoid that post-massage “why does my shoulder hurt now?” feeling.

And if you're the one receiving the massage? A table wins. Every time.
It’s padded. It’s supportive. It has a face cradle so your neck isn’t cranked sideways. It’s what comfort feels like.

It’s also about stability and safety. A table gives you a steady, reliable surface—so you can relax fully and focus on the connection, not whether someone’s about to roll off the edge.

Finally, using a table just feels more legit. It shifts the whole energy from “let’s try this thing” to “we’re creating a vibe.” It turns your space into a sanctuary, even if it’s just your spare room for now.

So no—you don’t have to get a table. But if you’re planning to learn massage at home, especially with a partner, it’s one of the smartest upgrades you can make. It’s an investment in comfort, safety, and the quality of the experience.

Totally worth it.

Nope, you do not get a massage license! We welcome all, regardless of your previous experience or credentials.   There are no certification credits given - this is a hobby course for those whose love language is touch.

Nope, you don't need to be a bodybuilder! MassaVinci techniques focus on body mechanics, not brute strength. Anyone can do it!

A 4 x 6 foot cozy corner is all you need. MassaVinci is designed to fit into your home, no need for a fancy spa setup or brute strength. Anyone can do it!

Of course! Once you've mastered the art, you can spread the love and relaxation to friends and family.  However you can not call yourself a massage therapist or perform massage for financial gain - that is the law in most States of the United States.

Communication is key. MassaVinci not only teaches massage but also provides examples of ways for you to foster trust and understanding in your relationship.
